Statues of the Nawabs of Murshidabad
Upto 1757 A.D. Murshidabad had five Nawabs. Motijheel Park has the statues of the first & fifth Nawabs, namely Nawab Murshid Quli Khan & Nawab Siraj-ud-Daula.
Both these statues are the first and only statues of those two Nawabs. The statues are built of concrete with special chemical treatment for longer life. They have been erected on open spaces for easy and vivid visibility.
